Review

Like most grills on the market, the Fuego Professional F24C has a wide variety of features to consider before deciding if this is the model for you. To make this decision a bit easier, we’ve broken down those features so you can see exactly what this compact grill has to offer.

Overall performance

Fuego Grill ReviewThe Fuego F24C gas grill is a sleek, futuristic-looking model, with a compact size that fits anywhere without sacrificing the grilling area, so you can still cook enough to feed a large family or a group of hungry friends. It is easy to set up and use, even for those trying their hand at grilling for the first time. It heats fast, cooks evenly, and is even easy to clean when the meal is over. With so much to offer, it’s no wonder this is such a popular model.

Designs

If you’ve ever read a Fuego Element Grill review, you may have noticed some similarities between that model and the Fuego F24C. The Fuego F21C-H Element model has a porcelain enamel lid, a drop-through residue removal system, a 22,000 BTU dual burner system, a 346 square inch cooking area, and it heats up to 500 degrees Fahrenheit in about 5 minutes.

The Fuego F24C has all of these features, though with a few upgrades. These include a 45-degree hinged lid design for less risk of burns, a higher BTU rating of 26,500 BTU/hr, and a larger cooking area of 525 square inches that includes the main area and a warming rack. This model takes the best the Element has to offer and upgrades it all for a more efficient and faster cooking grill.

Who is it made for

This model isn’t called the Fuego Professional F24C for nothing. It is designed to work as well as any of the high-end professional grills on the market without adding all of those complicated controls to make cooking your favorite meals more difficult than it needs to be.

Of course, you don’t need to use this model in a professional setting unless you want to. It is a great model for those who love to barbecue as much as possible. Its dual burners, hinged lid design, simple controls, and easy cleanup ensure that you’ll love using this gas grill for all your meals. If you want to barbecue every day, the F24C makes it a quick and easy task.

Cooking area

Fuego Grill ReviewThe cooking area is one of the most important features to consider since this is the area doing the actual cooking. A grill that’s too small won’t allow you to cook enough for a large family or group of friends. Luckily, the Fuego Professional F24C has a decent cooking area of 415 square inches. This gives you enough room to grill 20 large burgers all at the same time. You can also swap this out for at least 3 beer can chickens, a dozen chicken breasts, or several huge steaks.

Warming rack

Though the Fuego Element was lacking in this area, the upgraded Fuego F24C has included a warming rack that moves with the lid to keep everything on it heated while moving the rack out of the way when the lid is opened to give you more room to work. The warming rack adds an extra 110 square inches of room for sides, buns, or desserts, keeping the main area for the big-ticket items on the menu.

Temperature control and range

The temperature control on this gas grill is a single dial on the front of the unit, which allows you to adjust how hot the grill is in only moments. It goes as high as 650 degrees Fahrenheit if needed. It also reaches 500 degrees Fahrenheit in only 5 minutes, so you don’t have to wait around for it to heat up before you can start grilling your favorite meals.

Heat output

The total heat output the Fuego Professional F24C has to offer is 26,500 BTU/hr using a fuel-efficient burner system that ensures you’re using the least amount of fuel possible while still giving you the heat needed for perfect grilling temperatures.

This is because of the dual ring burner system that gives you two different zones to work with. When using Zone 1, you get 18,000 BTU/hr of indirect heating for slow cooking. You can also combine Zone 1 and Zone 2 to add an extra 8,500 BTU/hr of direct heat for faster cooking without worrying about hot spots burning some of the items on your grill.

Ease of use

Fuego Grill ReviewFrom the time it arrives on your doorstep to finishing your first meal, this handy grill is easy to use. The assembly process is simple, requiring you to secure 22 fasteners to put it together, which takes only about half an hour of your time.

The grill is also easy to use, thanks to the simple dial control and the electronic ignition system. You’ll have it up and running in no time. A large residue tray catches all the grease and debris that falls from the grill as you cook and slides free when the meal is over for quick cleaning. It also has a heat reflector panel that keeps the heat focused upwards where it belongs.

The propane tank also fits perfectly in the cabinet below the grilling system, so you don’t need to worry about dragging it around with you whenever you need to move the grill from one area to another. The wheels on the bottom of the grill are also handy for this process.

Safety features

Injuries can happen when grilling, no matter how careful you are. To keep these to a minimum, the Fuego F24C includes a few safety features. One is the hinged lid design, which opens at a 45-degree angle to the side of the grill instead of forcing you to lift it straight up. This allows you to open and close it without reaching over the high heat coming from the burners.

There is also a clasp on the door of the propane cabinet to keep it secure as you’re cooking or moving the grill. Two of the four wheels on the base of the cabinet are also locking, keeping the grill securely in place until you’re ready to move it.

Accessories

Fuego Grill ReviewThough the grill includes a heavy-duty cast iron grate for great searing and even heat, it doesn’t come with a bunch of other accessories. That doesn’t mean that there aren’t any available, though.

The Fuego FPAGP1 24-inch porcelain enamel cast-iron griddle is a handy extra to have, allowing you to expand your cooking options to include bacon, eggs, pancakes, pizza, and so much more. The Fuego FEACS1 Clip-on Side Shelf offers 100 square inches of space for platters, utensils, spices, or anything else you need during grilling. To keep your F24C clean and protected between uses, the Fuego FPAOC1 Gas Grill Cover is another handy accessory to have on hand.

Durability

The Fuego Professional is made of carbon steel, which is durable and strong, though it can be dinged and dented if mishandled, so it is best to treat your grill carefully to keep it looking its best. It includes a porcelain enamel lid that reduces bubbling or peeling, even with the high heat this area will be dealing with every time you light your grill. It also features a clasp door system and non-marking industrial casters.

All of these features are designed to keep your grill working perfectly for years. Unfortunately, it’s difficult to judge how long it will last overall since this model is relatively new.

If cared for and protected using a cover when not in use, you shouldn’t have to worry about deteriorating parts and mechanisms for quite a while.

Portability

If you don’t have a dedicated space for your Fuego F24C gas grill, you’ll likely be moving it around whenever you need to use it. Luckily, this model makes this easy to do. It has a compact size that doesn’t take up a lot of space, plus it makes it simple to maneuver into a small area for storage or cooking.

The base on this model is also quite stable and includes four non-marking industrial casters that roll smoothly over most surfaces. These wheels also lock when you have the grill positioned where you want it, keeping it securely place as you grill your favorite meals.

Dimensions and weight

Fuego Grill ReviewThis grill is quite small when compared to some other models, with a width of only 24 inches at its widest point and a height of 47 inches. It doesn’t take up a lot of room, making it easy to tuck it away into a corner when you’re not using it. You can fit this model on the smallest balconies or decks.

It is also lightweight, which adds to the portability features that we discussed above. It weighs only 80 pounds, so it is light enough to move whenever needed but is still stable enough to stay put when you’re cooking.

Warranty

The warranty on any grill is something to consider, especially if the model you’ve purchased isn’t living up to your expectations. This one by Fuego has a 1-year limited warranty on all the parts of the grill, so if they aren’t working or fitting right when you put the model together, you can get them replaced if needed. There is also a 3-year limited warranty on the burners, which gives you a bit more time to test them out to ensure that they are heating properly.

Price tag

If you check the Fuego website, this model has a list price of $499.00, which is a bit high for a compact and portable grill of this type. Of course, the other features it has may make up for this. These include the 45-degree angle hinged lid design, the dual burners, the simple controls, and the secure propane canister storage.

It is also pretty durable, so you may not have to buy another grill for several years, which can save you money in the long run. You can also check out other websites for lower prices or wait for sales if you don’t want to pay full price for this model.

It is packed with great features, like the dual burners, large cooking area, angled lid, hidden tank storage, and compact size. The Fuego Professional F24C is also portable, so you can move it wherever you need it, fitting it perfectly into even the smallest spaces with ease.
