Ingredients

  • 2 8-count packages of hot dog
  • 2 tbsp yellow mustard
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup barbecue sauce
  • 2 tbsp dry rub

Instructions

  • Preheat a smoker
The first step you should take is to regulate the smoker temperature in preparation for cooking. The heat on your smoker should be 225˚F. You can also add a wood pellet to give the hot dog some flavor. For example, you can choose to use cherry pecan or oak; you can also mix a variety of wood to give your Traegerhot dog burnt ends that breathtaking aroma it needs.
One variety pack held in high regard by experts and beginner grillers alike is the smoker oellets pack; it comes in a pack of6-9 different wood pellets, all-natural with no addictive glue or oil flavoring.
  • Prepare the hot dogs with allthe seasons
Engross your hot dog with yellow mustard and drizzle your dry rub to make sure the hot dog is well seasoned.
  • Get to the smoker
Now, it is time to showcase the effectiveness of your grill equipment. Put the seasoned sausage on your smoker grates, close the lid and leave it to smoke for about an hour.
  • Slice the hot dogs
Take out your hot dog from the smoker and cut each one into a 1-inch piece. Put the slices in a replaceable container. Roll out butter on the hotdog and mix with brown sugar and BBQ sauce.
Try not to skip this step so that you won’t have to slice the hotdog when it is hot!
  • Smoke some more time
Take the pan of hot dog to your smoker and set the temperature to 376- 395˚F. Leave this piece in the smoker for 20 - 40 mins. Stir the hot dog consistently till the heat dissolves the butter, caramelizing the sugar on the hot dog.
  • Serving time
By now, your hot dog should be ready. Remove the smoked hot dog burnt ends from the smoker and set them down on a platter. Now, watch your friends and family marvel at your delicious cuisine.
