A perfectly grilled meat is not only super delicious, but it also offers you some great health benefits
Trusted SourceAre there health benefits to grilling? | Beaumont HealthGrilling can also help lower your calorie intake and may even help with weight loss. While grilling does not remove all the fat from meats, it causes the excess fat to melt and drip off the racks.
. However, getting a perfectly grilled meat is mostly dependent on using the right grill.
We have reviewed many models of Royal Gourmet Grills and narrowed the choice to five best models. Apart from the fact that the Royal Gourmet brand pursues a modern and classy outlook for their grills, some of their grills have wheels for easy movement around the house or yard. Some grills are very portable: neither too small nor too big for both a party or a family BBQ day. We were also impressed by the brand’s quality, especially because they can guarantee a good experience during grilling, as well as, on the food table.
The 24-inch Royal Gourmet CD1824E charcoal grill makes grilling even more comfortable with the two fold-able side tables to keep your equipment.
Among the many charcoal BBQ grills available, the Royal Gourmet charcoal grill offers all features that make grilling a thrill. The temperature is evenly spread within the entire panel, with effective control in case of adjusting. The draw-out tray below the charcoal access door makes cleaning the pan extremely easy. In our opinion, this is a brand that has over-shone its charcoal grill competitors.
What are our favorite features?
We are certainly impressed with the way the brand made the product to be portable. Most charcoal grills end up being messy and too hot. But not this one. The Royal Gourmet charcoal grill is portable enough to move around, while it can also fit in a meal for about 8 to 10 people. The charcoal area has a temperature control that allows users to regulate and manipulate the temperature for the best grilling experience.
What could be better?
We aren’t impressed with the fact that the charcoal access door was made with steel, which means that opening and closing can be a little challenging during grilling. When the temperature increases as cooking continues, the steel handle continues to heat up, and a cloth or thick cooking glove would be needed to open up the handle.
The 30” Royal Gourmet charcoal grill is a step up in the entire game of charcoal grills for family use and an added offset smoker.
This product is simply a two-in-one grilling wonder with the charcoal grill and the added smoker to the side. The traditional grill has a large cooking area of about 368 sq. in. while the smoker has a total cooking area of 189 sq. in. The inside of the grill is impressive, and it does a great job of heat regulation and retention so that even after cooking is completed, you can still serve your meal hot.
What makes it stand out?
We are fascinated with the material used to make the product - porcelain-coated grates which make for easy wiping when dirty and has a good outlook. The charcoal grill container is also very easy to clean. As large as it is, it is portable and presentable, and it comes at a low price. The inclusion of the offset smoker is definitely a plus, and the cooking area can cover more than enough meals for an entire family household.
Which disadvantages must you keep in mind?
What we don’t like is that the smoker is not large enough to cook big chunks of meat. This is because the smoke generated isn’t usually enough. Therefore, even if you want to enjoy your meal with large cuts of meat, you might not be able to achieve that. Another downer is that the smoker box is not as easy to clean out. Therefore after every smoking activity, cleaning becomes a full-day job.
The Royal Gourmet SG6002 cabinet gas grill is a mighty grilling machine with a total of 8 burners.
This burner allows for the grilling of many variants of meals with its five cooking burners, a lidded side burner, and a sear burner (making a total of 8). Altogether, it has a total cooking space of about 797 sq. in. which means this is a great option for a large event purpose. And the cabinet provides an additional space to assist with extra space to work and keep grilling equipment.
Why are we impressed?
We love that the product comes with a large cooking space for a large amount of food preparation. And the grate can retain a lot of heat which means that prepared food can stay hot even after the first round of eating. It is very easy to clean, and the material used to make the grill is rust-resistant, which means you don’t have to worry about rust for a long while.
What negatives must you be aware of?
What we weren’t impressed with, however, was that only a few areas of the grill are covered with rust-resistant material, so it still has to be stored away from snow and/or moisture like the garage when not in use. And when it is left for long outside, it could also cause those areas to rust quickly. Also, the material is too lightweight that it feels like the price isn’t worth the quality.
Royal Gourmet GT1001 Tabletop Gas Grill is well known for its folding legs that allow for easy movement.
The design distinguishes it from its competitive counterparts. It is very portable with folding support legs that make it compact to carry and store. With its portable size, it has a total cooking area of about 280 sq. in. which means that it has enough space to cook a large enough dish.
What makes it stand out?
During our research, we loved the fact that the tabletop grill is very easy to clean after grilling, and there is no spill whatsoever on the tabletop that is being used. And despite its portable size, it has enough cooking space to contain meals for an entire family and more. It also helps to retain heat to keep meals hot even after servings. We believe that this is a good improvement from the regular standing grill types.
Which disadvantages must you keep in mind?
Though the amazing quality of the tabletop grill, we are disappointed on account of the heat distribution. The heat deflector on the gas grill isn’t as efficient as it is meant to be. And sometimes, it could feel like the gas is much more prominent in one area than another. This could result in a flare-up of fire during cooking or uneven cooking, which is a downer on the impressive tabletop grill
The Royal Gourmet 8-Burner Propane gas grill is the ideal go-to grill type when preparing a meal for a large number of people.
This outdoor grill has enough cooking area for a large event type, and its eight steel burners can be lit with an in-built electric igniter. It can get very hot in very little time, so you can be assured that it will take you no time to complete grilling for many people. The two side panels also allow for easy placement of grilling equipment
What stands out?
We are very impressed with its large size for a large cooking budget and each burner producing a good amount of heat. The dripping pan is also large enough to accommodate a good amount of fat drips. There are also two large dripping cups to add to the large dripping pan. The foldable side panel makes grilling even easier because grilling equipment can be kept on those panels rather than moving around.
What cons did we manage to find?
We don’t agree with the amount of warranty attached to the product, especially when compared with its competition. The propane gas cannot also be converted to natural gas as with a few other propane gas grills. Assembling the 8-burner propane gas grill can be a bit of a hassle with so many parts and a complicated design. There isn’t also an accessory griddle which makes it a bit lesser than expected, in our opinion.
Things to Consider
We have brought out the top picks of Royal Gourmet Grills, so you don’t have to go through the hassle. This guide includes features to look out for, which is best for your unique needs.
Why Buy Royal Gourmet Grill?
We have successfully gathered enough information to tell you why you should rather buy from the Royal Gourmet Grill brand than other brands. Aside from the many positive royal gourmet grill reviews, their charcoal grills (like the Royal Gourmet 24-inch charcoal grill or the Royal Gourmet Charcoal grill with offset smoker) have won the heart of many because of its easy assembly, large-sized cooking space, and simple way of adjusting the temperature using the charcoal access door. You can also be assured that your meal will be cooked evenly because of the equal distribution of heat around the cooking space. The dripping board is also large enough to accommodate enough fat drips from the meal.
Their gas grills (especially the Royal Gourmet SG6002 Cabinet propane gas grill, their GT1001 Tabletop gas grill, and their 8-burner propane gas grill) also have very good reputation. Their quality is 100% worth the price, with even cooking and amazing heat distribution and retention. Royal Gourmet gas and charcoal grills are also very easy to assemble and move around. Their designs make them classy and modern for even a top-notch event and gathering. The materials they are made of make them rust-resistant and very easy to clean. Don’t get us started on the generous warranty offer for all their products.
Features to Consider Before You Buy Royal Gourmet Grill.
By now, you might be psyched to go ahead to buy your own Royal Gourmet Grill to begin a fantastic grilling experience. However, you need to pause for a while before going ahead to the store. Not all types of Royal Gourmet Grills are the best choice for you. This is because some might be too small in size for the purpose you desire. You would have to make the decision on which one is best for your unique need. And that’s why we have put together factors that you need to consider before picking a particular type out of the many options.
This is one of the many factors to consider before heading to the store to purchase a Royal Gourmet Grill. There are two available formats of grill that you can choose from. You can have a charcoal-based grill or work with a gas grill. If you know which you want, then you are a step further. If you don’t know the difference between the two – we can guide you through that.
When it comes to the cooking time, it takes a gas grill less time to preheat. This means you can have your meal ready in no time, especially at a gathering (like a party or a picnic). For charcoal, you would most likely have to wait for about 12 to 15 minutes to have your grill ready to start cooking (and you would have to keep monitoring the grill now and then).
Concerning how the meal tastes after grilling, both gas and charcoal grills have different tastes. For the charcoal grill, the meat tastes a little smoky (which is more traditional). In contrast, the gas grill has the meat, free of the smoky taste but with more moisture from the steam produced. And if you aren’t conversant with grills, the gas grill might be a better option because it is much easier to control its temperature than the charcoal grill. Not to mention the fact that you can use propane gas grills on rainy days. Sweet right?
It is also rare to find a charcoal grill that comes with added accessories such as a bottle opener, lighting fixtures, side burners, or storage racks. But on the other hand (as you could have imagined), the gas grills are blessed with this. Another feature that the gas grills have over charcoal grills is that they are easier to clean after each use. However, in our opinion, Royal Gourmet charcoal grills have made it possible for easy cleanup with the removable trays.
Besides, it is much safer to use a gas grill than charcoal. However, a few people would consider this not to be true. This, however, depends on which you are used to. Of course, if you are very conversant with charcoal grills, this might be easier to control than gas grills. Not to mention that gas grills are much more expensive. So the decision (at the end of the day) is up to you.
The grill’s cooking area is also an important factor to take note of before going ahead to buy your Royal Gourmet Grill. The CD1824E charcoal grill, for example, is about 470 sq. in., which equates to about 22 paddies (and that is a relatively good amount of paddies). The GT1001 Tabletop gas grill is much smaller, with a cooking size of 200 sq. in. This is better for family size outings.
Maintenance & cleaning
Another thing that you should consider is how easy it is to maintain and clean the grill of your choice so that you can be sure that your investment will last for a long time. Though, you need a certain level of care for every grill type. Some of the care and maintenance routines you have to observe include storing it indoors away from the harsh weather outside, cleaning immediately after every use, seasonal deep cleaning routine, and so on. However, some types require more effort than others.
The material used to build the grill is also a major factor determining whether or not it is easy to maintain and clean. For example, a gas grill is much easier to clean than a charcoal grill (except you are familiar with the charcoal grill type). And gas grills don’t hold on to dirt and oil as much as the charcoal grill. Fortunately, most Royal Gourmet grills come with grill covers that make the entire process much more manageable.
You should also consider how portable the grill is, depending on its use. Some grills are larger and can be hard to move around or store. Buying this type of grill may seem unnecessary if it’s for family use alone. And if you are going to use your grill inside the garage without bringing it out, you might not need to struggle to buy the one with wheels, the Royal Gourmet GT1001 Tabletop gas grill might just do the trick instead.
In general, before buying a Royal Gourmet grill of your choice, carefully consider which you would prefer between gas and charcoal and how much cooking space you would be needing. Also, consider how much maintenance and cleaning the grill would require and if you can handle it. Finally, you’ll need to take into account how portable it looks, especially if it would fit into space you have prepared for its storage.
Many people might wonder how much one Royal Gourmet grill would cost and if it would break their bank account. To be honest, they are a bit on the high side because of their many features and top-notch quality. The brand aims to provide quality and maximum satisfaction with as many added features as possible to make the whole grilling experience better. Compared to other brands in total, some Royal Gourmet grills aren’t that pricy, especially when you consider the features that come with such grills. However, you can comfortably get one from around $70 to $200. And if you want bigger sizes with more features, such as the Royal Gourmet 8-burner gas grill, you might want to prepare for close to $500.
Definitely yes. They have a limited warranty on each of their products, especially the top five. Most of their warranties last for a year, while any of their stainless steel (most of our favorite picks) lasts for a good five years. However, be sure to check properly for how long your warranty lasts on the product you are getting. This is to be well aware of how much the warranty is attached to your product. But again, if you have bought any of the ones we have listed above, you should enjoy a minimum of 5 years warranty.
This is a common question asked, and it has a simple answer to it. The first option is to purchase a grill cover from a local store or an e-store. The fabric is damp-proof enough to prevent moisture from passing through and breathable to allow for air to penetrate. If you cannot get the grill cover, then you can build a shed for the grill outside to prevent rain or snow from falling directly onto it. The final option is to always take your grill back indoors to a garage. However, don’t leave it in storage for too long to avoid the breeding mold or mice around where it is stored.
In our opinion, we can say that the price of the Royal Gourmet Grill is well worth the quality being delivered. Every Royal Gourmet Grill is portable and easy to move around. They all have a standard cooking space with additional features such as an offset smoker, fold-able side panels, cabinets, and so on. The grill is made with solid and polished stainless steel materials that make it easy to clean while looking modern with a classy finish. Although the Royal Gourmet CD1824E charcoal grill and the 30 inches charcoal grill with offset smoker are slower to preheat, they are cheaper in price and easily affordable. They, alongside the other ones mentioned (like the Royal Gourmet SG6002 Cabinet propane gas grill), have a good review about heat retention and distribution. They are also very easy to control, and so we can award them the best of ratings.
However, they have some shortcomings, especially with the temperature and propane gas types. Nonetheless, the downers aren’t enough to bring down the reputation of the great Royal Gourmet grill types.
